Are Wendy’s Fries Gluten-Free?

Gluten-Free Confidence Score: 5/10

Wendy’s Natural Cut Fries are gluten-free, but may be fried in oil with other items that contain gluten. It is best to ask the store manager if Wendy’s fries are fried separately from food that contains gluten. If the fries can be made in a separate fryer with uncontaminated oil, then that increases the chance that Wendy’s fries are gluten-free. However, it is always hard to be 100% sure in these instances – see the comments below from a former Wendy’s store manager.

If you are very sensitive I wouldn’t count on this being true. Chicken is only supposed to be cooked in one fryer, but when it’s busy or a fryer is being filtered, they cook it in any fryer. Plus, in some stores I’ve covered, I have seen employees cook personal food in fryers even though they aren’t supposed to.

They do mix the chicken and fries.but I’m sensitive and I’m gluten free and it does not bother me.

I am only sensitive. Ate only a small order of fries and am up at 4:15 posting this with hives from the fries. I personally prepared all of my other food today.
